The Religious Affairs Committee members currently include Rabbi Maury Hoberman and
Mr. John Barnett. The Religious Affairs Committee is working to expand opportunities to extend the mission of the NAACP while establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with other faith-based organizations.
The Religious Affairs Committee also works to establish the close relationship and connection between faith and s ocial justice. To that end, the Religious Affairs Committee will work collaboratively with faith-based organizations when given the opportunity to work toward a shared mutual goal of striking down social injustice.
The Religious Affairs Committee will also work collaboratively with faith-based organizations as a reminder that every civil rights action in history that has been successful was made possible by people of all faiths standing together to improve the lives of the who are disenfranchised. The Religious Affairs Committee aims to get into “good trouble”.
