Birthing Equity Collective of BWCCA

Help is needed.

BEC will be hosting 4 focus groups on the Topic "Birthing and Black in Chester County". Their goal is to reach 40 birthing people. They are the lived experience experts. Their voice, their stories, their feedback are wanted, desired and needed to help the healthcare systems and other supported services better serve them. We are looking for 8-10 Black people for each group. The participant must be a Chester County resident, Black person of childbearing ages 18 - 49.; and experienced pregnancy in Chester County within the last 5 years.

Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Oscar Lasko YMCA

Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025 , 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Kennett Area YMCA

Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Chester County OIC

Sunday, March 23, 2025, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at

First Presbyterian Church, Phoenixville, PA.

The Committee seeks to: (1) promote media content consistent with fundamental NAACP goals, which include the elimination of racial isolation, fear & the furtherance of multi-racial & cultural understanding; (2) monitor local and national media (3) provide the National NAACP Office with research and data on those local businesses engaged in communications arts and sciences; (4) provide information to aid in the choice and access to a variety of high quality products and services at reasonable cost.

No publicity shall be released without first being approved by the Branch President.

This committee meets in person and via zoom.
