THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION

The NAACP's mission is to ensure the political, educational, equality of minority group citizens of States and eliminate race prejudice. We  work to remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes.

NAACP You tube channel

On February 12, 1909, the nation's largest and most widely recognized civil rights organization was born.

In 1899, James Weldon Johnson  composed the lyrics of

"Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing,"

Johnson joined the NAACP in 1915.

We celebrate the life of James Weldon Johnson.

We are thankful for his spirit & example in helping lead our great association.

We are not going back!

"For over a century, the NAACP has been proud to galvanize the Black vote, ensuring our voices are heard on the most pressing policy issues for our community.

"we are not partisan but we are political as hell."

Elections have consequences and it's clear that this election has put a target on Black America's back."

Together, we will remain vigilant in our mission until

the promise of America is

   made real for all AMERICANS.

Let's be clear.

Our 2025 should be a year that advances the progress made in the last four years, not seek to revert it."

The fight is far from over.

          PRESS STATEMENTS

WE ARE THE NAACP

"This is all part of a calculated strategy to redefine the role of government, privatize essential public services, and further discrimination.

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, INC

Since 1909, the NAACP has maintained a legendary legacy for fighting legal battles to win social justice for all Americans — many of the most significant of which were fought and won under the leadership of Charles Hamilton Houston and his student and protégée, Thurgood Marshall.   Please note: The NAACP may provide legal information to concerned citizens, but does not provide legal advice.
